When Hammon Cox became Scoutmaster in 1984, he brought to the troop a knowledge of art and the silk screen printing process. Each year since 1984, just prior to summer camp, the troop has produced two T-shirts, in different colors and designs, for each person attending summer camp. The cost of these shirts is included in the total camp fee and any one not attending may purchase that years T-shirts at a nominal cost. We have used several different and distinctive designs on these shirts. The T-shirts worn as Class B uniform at camp, serve not only to identify our boys, but also creates the definite impression of a "together" unit. Troop 865 becomes outstanding in more ways than one.
