If you are out on a long run or in a race and you become too warm and have to take off a jacket or long sleeve shirt, stow it so it doesn’t bother you. Take a few seconds and hold the garment by the sleeves near the shoulders and flip the body around itself several times. Then tie it around your waist like a belt. This is more aerodynamic and you won’t have the dangling garment hitting your legs. It’s also more likely to stay put on your waist this way.

Some jackets are really thin and pack up in a really small bag. Then they can be stored in a pocket or somewhere else in your clothing.

For a long sleeve shirt, you can simply take your arms out of the sleeves and wear it around your neck.
